When Edna lost her home in the devastating fires, she lost stability, routine and peace of mind. Her caregiver daughter Cheryl was determined to find a space where her mother could thrive - be cared for an feel a sense of purpose and connection. That's when they found OPICA.
But with their home destroyed, Cheryl couldn't take on yet another expense. Thankfully, OPICA's Scholarship Program was there for them. Through the generosity of our donors, we were able to provide the financial aid that Edna needed to attend the center.
Since then, Edna has thrived - joining activities, making friends and sharing new daily adventures. None of this would be possible without the generous support of friends like you.
Some of the most vulnerable members of our community living with dementia are in need of our services but cannot afford them. This is where our Scholarship Program becomes a lifeline - OPICA subsidizes the cost of our program for these individuals through our Scholarship Program to ensure they do not miss out on the care and support they require.
